Rivertown Gallery began as a dream for me in the Spring of 1994 and was opened July 15 1996, we are now entering our 10th year. The intent of the gallery is to provide a venue for the local artists to exhibit and sell their work. The artists exhibiting in Rivertown Gallery are required to work one to two days a month which helps keep the overhead of the Gallery down. There is no commission taken on any of the work sold. The participating artists are required to attend a meeting once a month covering procedures and to review portfolios of potential new artist. The gallery reviews biographies, photos and original work on the first Thursday of every month. We are members of the Downtown Gallery group and have produced a gallery guide brochure which is distributed by the Convention Center. We also locate alternate locales to display member artists work.
Another Article came out this year on Me and what I am trying to do in the gallery.
